H. Du Preez Wild was established in 1983 when game farming and wildlife trans-location were still relatively unknown practices. Hannie and Jan du Preez started off with one old Mercedes truck, a helicopter and an inspired ground crew. Capturing game on cattle fenced farms was a daunting task.

It was not very long before the wildlife industry took off in Namibia and South Africa in the late 1980's. In 1987 their son Jannie and his wife Heidi joined the company. Qualified as a helicopter pilot, Jannie took over as operational manager and later as general manager of the family business. Over the years Du Preez Wild helped to establish well known farms like the Pilansberg Game Reserve and later the Tsalu Game Sanctuary in South Africa.

Currently we employ over 30 people with many years of experience and dedication in the game and wildlife industry. With 3 helicopters and 5 trucks we are the leading game and wildlife translocation company in Namibia, exporting wildlife throughout Africa. Our motto : OUR EXPERIENCE IS YOUR GUARANTEE

Jan Du Preez

Jan Du Preez started his career in wildlife in 1987. He's an experienced helicopter pilot (more than 12000 hours) doing what he loves most, wildlife capturing. Under his expert guidance more than 100 000 plains game animals have been safely translocated. Big game animals, such as elephant and rhinoceros, have also been translocated successfully.

Heidi Du Preez

As administrative manager, Heidi Du Preez ensures that a tight game capture program is followed during the capture season which lasts seven months in a year. Her good understanding of game farming ensures she gives good advice when it matters. Working alongside Jan she contributes to the success of the game and wildlife business DU Preez Wild.

Beate Diener

As financial manager, Beate is responsible for all debtors and creditors ensuring that payments get done swiftly and timeously.

Oscar Nawaseb

With more than 40 years of game capturing experience of which 30 years are with Du Preez Wild, Oscar is part of the family and knows how to handle any difficult situation on the ground. He's also an experienced truck driver transporting live game throughout Namibia, South Africa, Zambia and Angola.
